Nanomechanics

Nanomechanics is an important part of materials science. It qualifies the essential properties of nanomaterials. Nanoscale materials and objects, function differently than their larger counterparts. Nanomaterials have a higher surface-to-surface ratio than macroscale objects. This affects their thermal properties, engendering the exotic type of elasticity. The concepts of nanomechanics are used in the development of Carbon nanotubes. It includes the concepts of materials chemistry for the synthesis of new chemical materials, which have enhanced chemical and physical properties.
